After September 11, 2001 the US and Pakistan started to work as closely allies against war on terror. However, this alliance has seen several setbacks, especially during last four years. Indian issues are not letting Pakistan fully focus to its Afghanistan border. Since from president Obama, the US administration’s Pakistan policy has included also improving Pakistan’s relations with India. Problem with that US objective is: “Pakistan always misperceives the American interactions with Afghanistan and India. Similarly, USA also misread the Islamabad interactions with Iran and China.” The US policy towards India made a crack on two countries relations in political level.
Another complication in the US and Pakistan relations are the US drone attacks within Pakistan territory. Pakistan believes that those are violating their sovereignty and drones are factors why Pakistani people are against the US and drafting to terrorist groups.
