Urie Brofenbrenner is an American developmental psychologist who is best known for his Ecological Systems Theory of child development. This theory “focuses on broad, interconnected influences on human development. It proposes that we can best explain development in terms of the interactions between individuals and the environments in which they live (Mossler, 2013, Chapter 2, Section 2.6, Urie Bronfenbrenner and the Ecological Systems Theory,” para 1). This is the mesosytem, which “describes the interaction between groups within the microsystem”, (Mossler, 2013, Chapter 2, Section 2.6, Urie Bronfenbrenner and the Ecological Systems Theory,) and is one of Brofrenbrenner’s rings or his ecological systems theory. Some days my days were easy and there was some stress, but not a lot, so on those days it was an enjoyable evening for me. Then of course there were the days that I had so much stress all I really wanted to do was just go into my room, close the door, and sit in the quiet. Learning how to deal with those everyday stresses taught me patience and perseverance. Patience to handle the issues at home without getting angry or frustrated and perseverance to stay with something once I started it. I believe that the mesosystem affects us a lot more than we think it does. In my life, I know if I have a stressful day at work I will come home more tired and in the mood for quiet. I believe that the mesosystem can change our everyday reactions to different events because our interactions also can change every …show more content…
These are all tools that are needed in any type of job you do whether it is in school or your actual job. When you are organized you can complete things in a more timely fashion, instead of taking the time to try and locate the supplies you need to complete a task you have already organized them in an efficient way. Multi-tasking enables me to handle doing my homework, by being able to focus on my homework yet still handle things that are going on around me. I think one of the most important thing I learned while raising my children that will help me in my studies is time management and being able to focus on my homework to get it done quickly yet efficiently. Having good time management is something that has already helped me with just the last week of school. By making sure my other work around the house is done. I am able to focus on my homework and get it done without worrying that I am failing to complete something
