From every school study and grade report that are given by the state sare always and most of the time worst in the schools who hold many African American and Hispanic students. This has made everyone think that urban always and will perform at a poor.In Elementary students its kind of tricky because you have aware and unaware childeren who get exposed to these stereotpes. People some think that college culd be a tad bit racsicts when it come to application, that could be true in some cases but not all the time.You have to look at the fact, which are how can a hispanic students who has had regular classes with a hint of soem honors compete with a asain who has had all ap and collge course beforehand. It 's not that they are be prejudice, their going to pick the better and more prepare applicant and its nothing wrong with that but minority students cannot help that their school dont have qualified teachers to teach ap trigonometry or a college english class. According to Thandeka K.Chapman, in her article about the separation of the currliam between white and black schools, talks to a variety of urban and subran high school teenaers. One particular conversation was about a black male in an AP class fill with just white people, he talks about how much he is discouraged because the teachers singled him a lot for that. This student feels intimidated because he feels like if other black students aren 't smart enough to get in this class what makes him so special, then utalii they start to slack off and not have the motivation because the world would never accepted him the way it would a white male student.
