Everyone procrastinates, it is in everyone’s nature. In Tim Urban: Inside the mind of a master procrastinator in February 2016, he talks about how humans procrastinate. Urban theory of the mind of a master procrastinator is extremely useful because it sheds light on the difficult problems of many people of youth procrastinate. The reason is because most of the tasks we need to do are not fun. We would rather postpone harder work than does it before the due date. Personal task doesn’t have due dates so postponing them is a force of habit. Common sense seems to dictate that everyone procrastinates at one point in their lives. Tim talks about his procrastinating, on a big assignment. How he did an all-nighter in two days. How he managed to write 90-page essay under 72 hours. Why does the youth procrastinate? Why do they put it off till the Last minute? they’re going to have to do it no matter what.
So why do it later with anxiety in all time high? My reason is because of fear. Fear of having no task to do anymore, I will feel like a sim and won’t know what to do with my life. The fear of having no purpose in life so I would procrastinate an assignment till a new one comes along. As Tim Urban explained in his Ted Talk that there's two types of procrastinators.
The ones who have a due date and the ones who don’t have a due date. For the procrastinators who don’t have a due date on the assignments don’t feel obligated to do it, so procrastinating without any remorse is an option. Without a due date the panic monster won't wake up. which concludes of procrastinating forever. For the ones who fortune has a due date also have a panic monster to keep them in check with their
