UPS keep ahead of their competitors with advance technology. The company must continually find ways to ship products efficiently and cost effectively to stay ahead of the competition. UPS must continue to expand globally to solidify their role in the growing industry. UPS is a leader in the industry, but must keep a close tabs on the errors and successes of their competitors. UPS measure strategic performance by conducting monthly meetings of teams precisely created to formulate the future and evaluate decisions that have significant impact on UPS’s approach to low cost management and differentiation through superior customer service.

It has utilized advance technology which has aided in their advance supply chain and their vast network across the world. It has position itself as a brand name and a global leader in logistic as well as being the largest parcel service business in the world as it relates to both revenue and volume. However market share growth may difficult in areas is because of the competitive segments. There is also a large union force would could possible lead to work stoppage during labor negotiations. There are continued opportunities with increasing online shopping and new technology along with worldwide expansion efforts. However there are always threats of new businesses entering the market with the labor issue is that they currently faced.
