Case Analysis
1.UPS’s approach toward sustainability impact the triple bottom line by affecting its social and finical performance. UPS doesn’t focus much on the environmental side of it. It really digs deep on the social side of things such as philanthropic, strengths, relationships, building a productive partnership, etc. It could potentially affect them because the things they are doing now might not meet the needs or apply to future generations and what their needs may be.
2. The internal managers/stakeholders are positively affected by UPS’s approach to sustainability because they “know the company’s capabilities, cost, structure and objectives… can see the strategic fit of one proposed initiative

It could also be positive for them because at least the business in the future markets are promising. This could be negative for the managers/stockholders because the new traffic could cause complications with delivery and business in general. It could be positive though for the future markets like stated above.
3. The six environmental forces are competition, government policies, natural forces, social and cultural forces, demographic factors, and technological changes. Out of all these forces I think that government policies and social and cultural forces helped influenced Mr. Kuehn’s approach toward sustainability. Government policies are when the government can have restrictions on what you do. Mr. Kuehn states that “Sometimes the momentum a company needs to recognize comes from governmental priorities. Indeed, failing to respond to them may imperil its license to operate…” (Kinicki, Williams. 97- 98). This lets us know he is aware of the government policies. I also chose social and cultural forces that helped influence Mr. Kuehn’s approach towards sustainability. Social and cultural forces is structured around the groups and individuals, what their beliefs are, thought patterns as well as behaviors. I chose this force because he is
