Is our ability to succeed being torn apart? Cultural and societal shifts are common in today's society. Yet that does not change the idea that it is difficult to adjust to change. Discrimination will tear down college graduates’ ability to succeed because of the riots, bans and law enforcements that have been increasing these pasts few years.
To begin with On August 12, 2017 Charlottesville, VA experienced a violent riot in their small college town. During this riot, citizens were not only harmed physically, but mentally as well. As a student, we expect to feel safe and have a support system in the community we live in. These terrorizing events bring fear upon students. Uplifting unnecessary problems such as depression and anxiety. Although having ups and downs are a part of life. Having a group support system will reduce those factors. Yet not everyone has the chance to do so. For example, the new travel ban enforcement happened to six majority Muslim countries just this 2017 year.
