Peer assessment allows me to learn from other people’s mistakes as well as my own. Receiving feedback is key, because without it, I would not have gotten comfortable giving feedback to others.
In addition, the University provides an online library that I can access whenever. Instructors are there to help when needed. Other departments are there to settle disputes, provide personal information and do many more things. The good thing is, that UoPeople does everything in its power to enable its students to become independent learner. At the same time, they expect integrity and responsibility. The way they go about this is very effective with me.
Furthermore, when learning, I already tend to draw connections with my life and experiences. I enjoy giving my own opinion on the things that I learn because it makes me feel like I have a say. This way, I make connections with the world around me and what I am reading on paper. Applying this knowledge to real life situations gives me satisfaction. It is important to develop our understanding in the classroom. It is equally important to develop our understanding in the real world.
