Have you ever heard of the butterfly effect? A tiny butterfly flapping its wings today may lead to a devastating hurricane tomorrow. This phenomenon is what the game “Until Dawn” is all about. Ten Friends venture out into the canadian mountains on vacation, they stay at the the Blackwoods Pines Lodge owned by the characters, Josh and his twin sisters Hannah and Beth. When Hannah runs out into the ominous forest during a blizzard after her friends played a prank on her, her sister Beth goes after her, they are hunted by an unknown person and trapped on the edge of a cliff where they fall to their deaths. A year later Josh invites the remaining seven friends to stay at the lodge to get some closure but they are chased by what they believe to be a psychopath and must survive until dawn. …show more content…
The choices the player makes will determine who lives and who dies and the overall outcome of the game. “Until Dawn” keeps you on your toes as you have to quickly make decisions that could mean life or death for your character or those around you. Other games that include the butterfly effect are “Life is Strange” and “The Walking Dead” which are also very popular games.

Personally, I came across this game while watching one of my favorite youtubers playing it and even though i’ve never been one for video games, especially not the horror kind, I knew that I had to try it myself. I’ll admit, there were parts of the game that stumped me, I could have looked them up online but I didn’t because I wanted to experience it all on my own. The game is only available for the playstation 4, which I didn’t have, but the trips I made to my cousins house to borrow his were well worth
