In Chapter 5, Understanding the Workplace Team of the Administrative Professional Technology and Procedures (15th Edition) textbook (Rankin and Shumack, 2015) it states, “Teams are groups of people who work together toward a common goal—simply put, people who work together to get a job done” (pg. 67). However, working in teams can be challenging and the success of a team lies in how effectively a team leader and its team members can work through these challenges.
