Unpaid Leave Case Study

Julie appears to have used everything that the organization has to offer. They allowed her to take her leave and use the 12 week unpaid leave which is authorized in the policy. According to Grosdidier, (2010) this type of leave is coordinated with the Family and Medical Leave Act. As an organization HRM I would feel bad for her what she is going through but the way I read the policy she would have to work 1250 hours again to get another 12 week unpaid leave. This would require her to come to work. I think she may need to look in to hiring someone to help care for her mother.
