Sometimes in life circumstances do not play out the way we want them to. Some things in life are past control of people. You cannot change these events and there is no way to anticipate them. Many things like this happen in the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. One example of the unexpected is when Mercutio is slain by Tybalt because Romeo got between them. Romeo had good intentions, but it did not go the way he planned. Near the end of the book the sudden appearance of Romeo dead at the Capulet’s tomb took everyone, especially Friar Lawrence, by surprise.

Romeo had just been married to Juliet and was on cloud nine. Before Tybalt or Romeo even shows up to the scene, Mercutio is already looking for a fight. The fight starts
