One of the reasons I believe that it was not okay for her to walk away from her marriage was because Nora had already given birth to 3 children, and leaving your children is never an option. She had no intention of speaking to the children about the future.
Henrik Ibsen also demonstrates that Nora did not really care about the views of the children. In the Novel A Doll's house, Henrik Ibsen states ““I don’t want to see the children. I know they are in better hands than mine” ( Ibsen 1124). This quote clearly shows that Nora has brought herself down and she doesn't really care about the children. Nora also shows that she doesn't give Torvald the opportunity to improve himself. Torvalds stated, “ I have the strength to change”(Ibsen 1124). What Torvald is basically trying to say is that he willing to change to keep her with him.
