I am blessed to say that I am an exceptionally well rounded student. There are many qualities that I possess that will ultimately benefit Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. I am involved in multiple extracurricular activities such as, track and field, varsity cheerleading, student government, and lastly thespians. Thankfully I am a complex person with many callings. One of those callings include doing things to the best of my abilities at everything no matter the circumstance. It doesn't matter what's going on or the level of importance I will always take a situation serious. This quality will not only benefit me, but it will also set an example to my peers. Because of this experience I was able to lead students to improve their educational skills and share my knowledge with them. With experience I am able to work hard and excel in my academic achievements and still find time to volunteer with the SMCH organization. In addition, another aspect I own is diligence, every college student claims to be diligent I differ from these other college students because I own self-discipline to prevent wrong decisions. Self-discipline refers to the ability to control one's feelings and overcome one's weaknesses as well as to pursue what one thinks is right despite the temptations. With self discipline I would not get into any altercations and remain focused at FAMU. Not to mention, I also I critically think on a level that empowers self-confidence. Personal empowerment involves developing the assurance and strength to set realistic goals. This moment for me was when I won Miss Soul Bowl. I was unconfident in running for this position on Homecoming court. I witnessed some of the most popular girls in schools pick up packets bragging about the day they might walk the field. Since I am not that popular my self-esteem diminished. With the help of friends I empowered myself to run for Miss Soul
