University of the Sciences is a private institution serving more than 2,500 undergraduate students on a 35-acre urban campus. Located in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, students will find themselves at home with nearly 30,000 students from the neighborhoods six colleges and universities. The university opened in 1821 as the first pharmacy school in North America. Often called USciences, the university is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The college has many articulation agreements to provide transfer into USciences and also has reserved seats in medical, dental, and veterinary schools.

USciences offers superior academics in their dynamic programs and comprehensive curriculum delivered by experienced faculty. Students are successful after graduation and the university boasts a 95 percent rate for employment or advance degree acceptance within six months of graduation. Students have excellent opportunities with hands-on learning in research, internships, externships, and clinical programs. The university has more than 100 laboratories and 25 computer labs available to students. With a student-faculty ratio of 10:1, students will find the one-on-one attention they deserve.

Students have the option to participate in club, intramural, and varsity sports. The ARC and intramural sports are designed for players of any level and open to all students. Badminton, field hockey, soccer, and volleyball are offered as club sports. Varsity sports compete in the DCAA Division II Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference. The university offers 12 varsity sports for men and women. The school colors are grey and maroon. The mascot is Drake the Devil and athletic teams are known as the
