Aloha! Welcome to the University of Hawaii at Manoa (UHM). UHM is one of the few universities that hold the distinction of being a land-, sea-, and space-grant research institution. It is known for its pioneering research in such fields as astronomy, cancer research, genetics, linguistics, oceanography, and Pacific Island and Asian area studies. Other recognized programs include creative media, earth and ocean sciences, engineering, environmental law, health and medicine, international business, nursing, tropical agriculture, and urban planning. In addition to these recognitions, what makes UHM destination of choice is its unique sense of place. This is fostered by a vibrant Hawaiian culture, sense of responsibility, and its valuable location in the heart of the Pacific.

Since 2015 there have been over eleven thousand undergraduates enrolled to the school. UHM has over 100 majors and more than 30 minors. This allows each student to have a self influenced pathway.For the highly academic and more rigorous students, they offer an honors program that will allow them to grow not only as community members, but leaders. UHM is ranked #169 in National Universities, #89 in Top Public Schools, and the #1 University in the State of Hawaii.
In order to apply to this university, the application, a $70 submission fee, and both SAT and ACT scores must be submitted before March 1st. If submitted any later, it will not be counted towards the following school year. UHM is looking for SAT scores ranging from 980-1190 and ACT scores from 20-25.
