As a first-generation Polish child, different nationalities always interested me. I have even found some of my closest friends from countries such as Korea. The University of Chicago is also highly active in civic engagement. Since I began high school, I was incredibly active within the city of McHenry. I’ve gained over 150 service hours and community service has become a large portion of my everyday life. I would be honored to continue my community involvement at the university. The university also offers over 350 registered student organizations. Throughout my high school career, I was very active in organizations such as Key Club and National Honor Society.
