A controversy in this year’s election is the price of college tuition. As stated by procon.org, Donald Trump has said that universities shouldn’t be free and that it is too expensive from a federal standpoint. Clinton though, believes that students shouldn’t have to borrow funds to pay for their books, fees, and tuition if they choose to attend a four year public college. She also believes that a community college education should be free. In that plan, students receiving pell grants could use those for other things, like living expenses. A Sylvania citizen feels as though a fee for higher level education should not be as incredibly high as it is today. Trump disagrees with this standpoint and thinks that though college rates should go down, they should not become free.
Another controversial issue this election is enhanced interrogation, or torturing suspects. Trump has said that he strongly believes and would certainly bring back strong interrogation techniques, like waterboarding.
