Although it is dramatically imbalanced that the proportion of male and female students in some subjects of some universities in China, I don’t think it is necessary to compel a rigid 50/50 gender balance in every subject of schools.

Overall, a sudden imposition of a rigid 50/50 gender balance in every subject is not a correct way for schools and students. Universities should increase their comprehension of subjects to equate their gender numbers in whole schools and bring many activities for students to communicate with opposite sex.

It is more and more popular to teenagers in different countries are motivated to have a one year break from studying after graduating from high school. The aim may be different from student's disparate setting. Youths from well-to-do families tend to travel around during this year while poor adolescents are encouraged to work and become economically independent for a period of time.

There are marked advantages for people who are willing to work or travel for a year before entering college. To start with, students should learn something about the society immediately after monotonously studying at school for almost 12 years because most children in China are just concern with their schoolwork and living on the others. They even know nothing about doing the household chores yet earning money by themselves. Moreover, many good studying pupils dare not to communicate with others, especially with someone new. So taking a break from school will help them to improve their interpersonal skills as they have to ask others for help if they are in unfamiliar places without acquaintances.
