Introduction Universal Studios Hollywood is a theme park and film studio located in Los Angeles, California (Wikipedia, 2016). According to their own marketing, they are known as the “Entertainment Capital of LA” ( ). In 1915, Carl Laemmle founded this plot of land as a movie studio named “Universal City” (Knight, 2008). In July 1964, Universal Studios Hollywood, now owned by NBCUniversal (Comcast), was created to give the public an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes of their favorite films (Knight, 2008).
Today, Universal Studios Hollywood provides family-friendly experiences that are unique to each person (Barnes, 2014). This theme park now offers guests private studio tours, meet-and-greets with popular characters, and thrilling roller coaster rides (Fordors, 2016). Universal Studios Hollywood is divided into two parts, the Lower lot and the Upper Lot (Wikipedia, 2016). The Lower Lot consists of 3 main attractions including Jurassic Park: The Ride, Revenge of the Mummy, and Transformers: The Ride (Fordors, 2016). Since these rides are considered intense-roller coaster type rides, they require a height restriction (Knight, 2008). The Upper Lot consists of more family friendly rides such as; Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular, The Simpsons Ride, and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Wikipedia, 2016).
