This is in response to your letter addressed to the American General Life Insurance Company (the “Company”) dated August 21, 2017. The purpose of this correspondence is to address your concerns regarding the above-referenced policy.

Policy number B44039036G, insuring Victoria Lane Hill is a Universal Life plan with an issue date of 03/07/1990 with an initial specified amount of $20,000. Policy number B44039026G, insuring Latoria S. Hill is a Universal Life plan with an issue date of 03/07/1990 with an initial specified amount of coverage of $25,000.00. Policy number B44039027G, insuring Monique Hill, is a Universal Life plan with an issue date of 05/02/1990 with an initial specified amount of coverage of $25,000.00.

In her complaint Ms. Hill states that she called into the Company’s call center to discuss her policies and was told the policies could draw dividend disbursements. She has also indicated receiving conflicting information as to whether or not these policies allowed these disbursements.

In order that we may provide the most detailed information we reached out to our call center manager and requested that a review of the recorded call be completed and a report made. We have completed our review and wish to provide the following

Hill during her initial calls made to the call center. We understand that this must have been both very frustrating and disappointing. During these calls she was advised that the policies provided for dividend disbursements when in fact they do not. A third call was made to the call center where the representative reviewed the notes from the previous two calls and proceeded to correctly identify the policy type and to confirm to the caller that dividend disbursements were not an available feature on her policies. As stated these policies are Universal Life contracts (non-participating) which do not offer this type of
