It can be very hard for a hospital to stay on top of things associated with the patient care, policies and insurance protocol. A hospital who has universal healthcare would change drastically in means of productivity. Doctors could worry more about the patient 's health rather than insurance procedures. On average, 150 doctors in an average sized hospital are either doing paperwork on insurance or doing nothing. Doctors would not have to worry less about looking into patient’s access paperwork or malpractice liability. Doctors would have a better opportunity for hands on procedures and would have more available spots for patients to schedule. Workers with health insurance miss an average of 4.7 fewer work days than employees without health insurance. Offering universal healthcare for everyone would allow for less people to miss work. The outcome would be more money for the business and the employee. The public health would be better than it ever has been. People who need more money would be able to work more because if they were sick they could finally go to the doctor. There would be no hassle trying to find a health insurance that was affordable. For example, Switzerland has a universal healthcare program, the rate of productivity that is done is much larger than what the United States has. A small business in a country with universal healthcare would be less likely to go bankrupt because the more healthy workers there are, then more will get done. When healthcare is too expensive, it is hard for a business owner to access coverage for the business and employees. Employee insurance costs about $450 a month. This problem hits small businesses extremely hard because they do not have the extra money laying around to pay for insurance for their employers. The Affordable Healthcare act has helped small businesses by reducing the amount tax dollars they must pay.15 Universal healthcare would make it easier for business owners to provide the coverage needed to keep their business running smoothly. Our country spends more than 12 percent of its total economy on health care expenses. No other countries do this. In 2014, the United States health expenses alone hit $3 trillion. The cost of healthcare utilizes 20 percent of our country’s Gross Domestic Product. Our country currently leverages a private insurance system which can dictate who or what kind of coverage individuals receive. Often times “sick” are charged more, their benefits are reduced or they are denied coverage. No other countries do this. Nor do they allow companies to put their personal profit over the coverage and well being of individuals. They manage their costs by reducing or eliminating co-pays and deductibles. They are able to provide their citizens better care and coverage at a lesser expense than we currently do. This is the same strategy our country needs to leverage. This will not only influence and build up of the well-being of our citizens it will create positive impact on our fluctuating
