The Importance Of Universal Healthcare In Today's Society

For a government to be ideal, it would have to abide by a set of laws set by the people and for the people. In today’s society, the government must cater to the needs of regular working class, rather than the one percent that control the nation along with how they believe it should be run. In order for society to further respect, the government needs to work toward catering to the needs of the people, while hearing their concerns. Some of the many improvements needed is universal healthcare for everyone and not just those that can afford it, finding ways to use alternative resources, and what the government spends toward certain departments. Other prospering countries around the world use universal healthcare and spend less toward healthcare as a whole as a result. As of today, many of the people who desperately need healthcare cannot afford it. Having healthcare available to everyone is something that the government needs to prioritize. Allowing only those who can afford treatment is wrong and will cause people to continue to distrust the government to the needs of society …show more content…
America spends ridiculous amounts of money toward people representing laws and bills that have no benefit to us at all. The government spent billions of dollars toward cancer research, which is leads facilities and researchers to continue to find a cure. While billions of dollars are invested into finding a cure and treatment options, studies have shown that America will waste three billion dollars toward unused treatment drugs. When learning that your taxpaying money is being wasted, people have a right to be upset. The government needs to find a way to greatly reduce the amount that is used toward cancer treatment options that are wasted. When you discover that the government continues spending money that is being wasted, rather than using the money toward something else, it can be frustrating as to how they are helping
