Generally this document, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is very much like the Constitutions in terms of the formation; the articles are however, more like the section for each article in the constitution. Additionally the constitution states that education states that education is to be compulsory, which the UDHR reflects in writing. Moreover, the third article of the UDHR begins as “Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.” Reflectively the Declaration of Independence states “certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Obviously the two documents are different, one reason being is because the UDHR is more acceptance towards other social groups. For example they are more expectant upon people of color and women. Moreover, the UDHR speaks more of general movement and residency within different nations. An issue such as torture would come down and relate to this document due to the fact that according to article 5 it states “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” In itself, the document states that torture will not be tolerated, and inevitably any matter will be reflected back upon the fifth article.
4. The importance of this document was to protect the people all over the world from unjustly rule. Before the events of the formation of the UN as well as the UDHR , there were such horrific and horrendous events such as the Rape of Nanking and the Holocaust. THe UDHR was pit in place so that these events would not occur. THe USHR protects human rights, and overall that means that it will protect these inalienable rights no matter the situation. The rights were meant to ensure that such events like the Holocaust would never occur in the future.
6. I believe the document was created in response due to all the death and distress created and spawned by the effects of World War 2. There was the Holocaust aswell a the rape of Nanking;two major crimes against humanity. The UDHR was created solely for the purpose so that one, no unjust ruler like Hitler would come upon into existence. Secondly, the UDHR was put in place so that no events like the Holocaust would come
