Only Events 1 to 12 of the Universal Championship of Poker count towards the Greatest Poker Player in the Universe leaderboard. For the sake of clarity, no satellites count towards the leaderboard.

Great players don’t just play poker. They live and breathe it. They share it with their friends and family. They contribute to the game and grow it for others.

A lot of players specialize in a single type of poker. But that’s not enough to be the Greatest Poker Player in the Universe. The greatest players can win, whatever the game. So we’ll give you more points if you play different styles of poker throughout UCOP, and even more if you play every event.

A leaderboard will track your progress throughout the Universal Championship of Poker. Win it, and you’ll take home €10,000 in cash and the very first Greatest Poker Player in the Universe trophy. Places 2 – 10 receive the following:

Not only will you need to win, but you’ll need to be consistent. You’ll need to play multiple types of poker, not just Hold’em. And like all truly great poker players, you’ll need to help grow the game of poker for the future.

There are hundreds of world champions from many different countries. Some were made in the real world – in Las Vegas, Monte Carlo or Macau. More recently, world champions have been made online. But only the Red Star Poker can crown you The Greatest Poker Player in the Universe.
