Both countries have agreed to sign a document agreeing to try and accomplish seventeen things by two thousand thirty. these are no poverty,zero hunger,good health and well being, quality education, gender equality, clean water, affordable clean energy, increased economic growth, industry innovation and infrastructure, reduced inequalities, sustainable cities, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water,life on land, peace and justice, partnership for goals.(UNDP). These are goals put in place to aim for, yet it doesn't mean they need to be completed by the year two thousand thirty. The U.S. being the power house that it is ranks poorly amongst other countries in sustainability. For example “The United States is an ecological debtor, consuming some 207 percent of its ecological capacity, according to the Global Footprint Network. It ranks as the 46th greatest ecological debtor worldwide out of 151 countries evaluated. Studies show that the average U.S. citizen uses 11 times as many resources as the average Chinese, and 32 times as much as the average Kenyan.” (UNDP). Bruma maybe be around the same size as texas and may not have as large of an impact on the rest of the world but the land mass it self can only handle so much abuse with out protecting it. The country itself has signed off on a few documents like “Biodiversity, Climate Change, Climate Change-Kyoto Protocol, Desertification, Endangered Species, Law of the Sea, Ozone Layer Protection, Ship Pollution, Tropical Timber 83, Tropical Timber 94”(CIA). but none of these have been ratified which means they support it but there not exactly going to do anything about it. It is a growing country and its economy is started to pick up again which means if they start now they have a very good chance of making it into the chart of sustainable countries and probably could surpass america which is a first world
