Schwartz says “the United Nations gang chose [the] name because it claims to welcome members of any nationality. The UN was founded in 1997 by Clay Roueche, who brought together high school friends from around the Fraser Valley” (2011). The gang is known for drug trafficking marijuana across the united states. Forgarty explains that this gang has a strong rivalry against the red scorpions and independent nations (as mentioned in Schwartz, 2011). Violence in this gang includes killing of a member of the red scorpions by shooting. Bolan also mentions that “The United Nations gang had a sub-group of assassins that was always prepared to carry out “surgical” killings” (2017d). This group would receive names and plan attacks against other individuals
