Social workers are a very important role to connect with family members, the main position to answer and solve with residents’ problems. For the new resident, the social worker have to invite and explain detail with the resident and their family member in the new admission. During the new admission, social worker need to collect and explain all the information about the agency’s process and need the family to complete all application forms that sign all the paper to consent and make sure they received these information and documentation. In the new admission meeting, the family and resident might need to know about the basic agency’s policy, residents’ Bill of Rights, what to bring or not to bring in the room, activities, nursing care and other services. Social worker will explain the service range and basic facilities in the agency. As well as some policy codes that need family members and resident to remember; for example, do not bring scissors and other sharp objects at the room and do not keep the medication in the residents’ room. This application provides the information needs to assess the specific care that resident require and to determine in the agency. Also, the …show more content…
However, it will relate to the activation department and the BSO team to handle the resident who have mental health issues. These program can manage the resident emotion express as well. According to the Tendercare Living Centre mission “committed to providing excellence in resident care”. Social worker who is the main character to promote family, resident and staff links with different departments to increase progress and improve service efficiency and quality. It can get the trust of the family member and believe that their love one can be properly taken care of in the agency.
