My level of concern about privacy when it comes to my location and whereabouts would rank as a 7 for me on a scale of 1 to 10. I am uncomfortable with my location being tracked, but I do not think that the people with access to it would use it maliciously. I assume that the people who could possibly have access to this information would be my cell service provider and the makers of apps on my phone. I think that apps should be allowed to use this information if it provides for a better experience, such as using google maps to get accurate directions. However, I would like to block most apps and my service provider from accessing my location. Additionally, there are probably many others that can determine my location, such as websites and the federal government. In an attempt to improve my privacy I rarely give apps the ability to access my location and I have the location feature disabled on my phone. …show more content…
I would rank this as a 10 because the information I share could be very personal or private. Also, even if some of the people who collect this data, such as cell phone companies and the NSA, do not have bad intentions when they collect this data others have the ability to steal this information. This theft could lead to my private information be used maliciously. I think some government agencies should be allowed to obtain people’s communications with others but only if they have a warrant and it is used for the protection of society. But, I think that I should be able to block my cell phone companies from accessing this information. This is partly because this information is likely shared with third parties for the purposes of advertising. In order to protect the content my communications with others I could refrain from downloading suspicious apps that may contain malware as well as only send emails over secure

Rounding Data When data is gathered and calculated, the final information presented tends to be rounded. On some occasions it may be necessary to round data, especially when rounding non-integer vales to integer values for simplicity and statistical representation. An example of this would be at the end of the calculations in sample weighting, the fractions you get are rounded to integers, since the data is based on physical objects which cannot have fractions, and so is considered extra for rounding purposes. Data may also me rounded in order for it to be understandable if the information is to be presented to other people, or just to keep important digits only to get an idea of scale. Extreme examples of this would be comparing the size of…

The question I wish to answer is why BBP formulas are so much better at calculating pi than any other method that came before it. I find it interesting that this method only provides the exact digit of pi in question and does not require the calculation of any of the previous digits of pi. For all of the methods that proceeded it like the polygon approximation and infinite series methods, each digit was required to be calculated before the next one could be found. Another compelling fact is that this avenue of calculating pi has been hypothesized as the key to discovering whether pi is truly random or not. Though it is still unproven as of now so I don’t expect to make any breakthroughs myself, uncovering more about this topic interests me…

To oversimplify, matters surrounding privacy can be color coded. There are some issues that are very black and white related to the need to “violate” privacy. However, there are also quite a few gray areas where more research needs to be conducted and statistics gathered to formulate guidelines to determine when it is indeed necessary. Privacy in general needs to be treated in a way that is different from other rights and based on the serious consequences of not revealing facts that would be considered “private”.…
