In order, for educators to perform their jobs to the best of their ability, they must adhere to a set of professional values at all times. Professionalism towards other faculty members, administrative members, and especially students is of major concern. Students have legal rights and it is imperative that teachers remember there are legal issues which require educators to remain professional at all times. HIPPA violations, not only are illegal, but they also show true unprofessionalism when a teacher steps over these boundaries.
