In this task I need to identify the electronic and non-electronic methods for communicating business information. The company that I have chosen to do is Footlocker as their brand image and popularity is of high standard. Also it shows a clear understanding of its business communication internally as well as externally. The company is known for selling variety of trainers for both male and female, also they aim their products for the younger audience of 12-20 year of age.
Electronic methods:
The term electronic communication means using technology as a way of communicating to a certain audience. An example of such is an advert from footlocker, whose sole aim is to connect to a younger audience to their product line and what new the company is offering. The onscreen communication footlocker uses is online adverts as a form of electronic message. Footlocker is known for having celebrities featured in their adverts. An example of this is one of footlocker adverts, which feature the NBA legend Shaquille o Neil and the rapper Tyga. This celebrity endorsement is an effective method of appealing to a wider audience as they are aiming to attract a younger audience. An example of such is the use of letters, billboards and leaflets. This method was commonly used by companies until the introduction of the internet. Even though this way of communication is less commonly used it is still seen as an operational approach. Footlocker uses verbal communication to attract customers, for example by having conferences and meetings in order to explain their new product line. The last conference released their new product which is the insoles, as well as giving insight to their footlocker
