Personal Statement 2
I was about 10 years old when my parents decided they wanted me to join martial arts with my second youngest sister. As I enter the gym to present myself I saw young and older students taking the class. I saw how well discipline and how patient and well manner they all were. That actually caught my attention; in the other hand my sister hated it. Although, I was 10 years old and you would expect someone that age to hate that class because it didn’t look fun, I actually enjoyed it. I thought to myself that I wanted to look like them, what I didn’t know was what it will take me to get there. I had to learn how to control myself and to respect others even if they don’t respect me, I had to learn that I should never feel better

I suffered through a period which left me lacking motivation and purpose in life. Friends and family told me a great deal of things I should do, but none of it appealed to me. Though I want to help people, I didn’t want to be a doctor; though history appeals to me, I didn’t think I would enjoy history in academia. Following a great deal of reflection and deliberation, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Among the lessons learned during my enlistment were intricacies of the professional responsibilities of a basic “boots on the ground” infantryman, a team leader of three other Marines, and subsequently a squad leader of twelve Marines.…

The opportunity to serve as an officer will satisfy multiple objectives. Throughout my eight years in the Air Force, I have excelled in every organization. However, this wouldn't be possible if it weren't for the passionate leaders who inspired me along the way. My first objective of desiring a commission is to carry forward the legacy of leadership that has inspired me to make the Air Force a career. I wouldn't be the well-rounded NCO I am today if it weren't for the selfless leaders that took time to mentor me and define who I am as an Airman.…

In the past I’ve shared about the impact of the books you “choose” to read, the people you “choose” to meet, and the places you ‘choose’ to visit. My life changed this summer because of where we chose to go, China! After the death of my father in 1988, I buried my head in the world of martial arts. I became a ‘dojo rat’ as they say. All day it was practice, practice, practice.…

I have always aspired to be an astronaut ever since I was younger. That aspiration has continued being resilient but, in addition to being an astronaut, I would also love being an aerospace engineer or an astrophysicist at institutions like NASA or any other aeronautics and space association. Both professions would apply their discoveries in order to innovate new technologies to further space exploration. In the future, I want to help mankind set foot on Mars and possibly make science fiction a reality by also creating a settlement on the red planet. Also, I want to go farther into space in order to increase our understanding of how the universe works and discover new planets and stars that may come to aide mankind later on.…

Difficult experience, which is the essential part of our lives, guides the analysis of the difficulties and challenging topics. It helps to outline what the learner thinks he need to know to formulate a viable solution. Therefore, most people think that difficulties are bound to exert negative influence on us. As far as I am concerned, people can benefit from the difficult experience they encounter. In deed, difficult experience often makes it harder for us to succeed, but when we look back, we will find that obstacles give us valuable experience and push us to achieve greatness as there is saying " Out of difficulties grow miracles."…
