In regard to Lab 6.2 accepting leadership position for two organizations simultaneously was definitely a stressful event that impacted my life. I was the director programming for Black History Month and the director of Productions for the Florida Invitational Step Show. These events happen around the same time and I had people blowing up my phone and needing me 24/7. It was very stressful because I was also taking classes (one of which was the hardest class I had ever took). I became very stressed out. I always had a headache and I did not get much sleep. Even though is was very tiring I do not believe that my stress level was as high as most would be. I have a very supportive group of friends and family and they were always checking up on …show more content…
I know I am making a great impact on their lives and that many of them look to me for guidance through their every day problems. My scores was relatively low. It was 218 for the first one and 210 for the second one. I believe this happened because I am young and have not experienced many things that really cause people stress. Also I have lived a very stable life and haven't had a lot of experience many of my peers may have had. In regard to the Lab 6.3 the only things that effected me the most were the ones concerning death and those reflecting my personal changes (such as achievement or change in my habits). I have control over some of these aspects, however for the most part I do not. I believe this because I think as people we natural change and evolve. This occurs naturally. We gain new beliefs and perceptions and therefore we change. So even though technically I have some control over them, I believe I do not because my life and perception of my life were going to change anyway. The best thing I can do is be real with myself when I am faced with life changes. Meeting change head on and accepting it is the best way to avoid stress and anything that causes

In Procedure 6.1, two different gels were used. One gel was 2.0% agarose while the other gel was 0.8% agarose. The reason we poured two gels was because each gel had a different purpose. The 2.0% agarose (thicker gel) was used to determine amplicons while the 0.8% agarose (thinner gel) was used for restriction fragments. One gel was ‘thicker’ than the other gel to distinguish smaller segments than the thinner gel.…

On the way from solar cell to the solar module, the output efficiency decreases. For example when a multi-crystalline PV solar cells of 17.8% efficiency is used, the resulting efficiency of a module is around 15.9 to 16.3%. This decrease in efficiency is mainly because of three distinct losses listed below. 1. Optical losses generated by material reflectance and absorption 2.…

Jonathan Desmond DCN Lab 5 Kali Kali is a live Linux distribution which can be put onto a USB and loaded directly onto a computer. Kali, having being bundled with a variety of testing tools such as Wireshark and Metasploit Framework, is utilized to assess the security of a target machine. The creator of Kali, Mati Aharoni first thought of the idea during a consultation which banned the use of external hardware as well as the stipulation that client computers could only be used if the data remained untouched. He then thought to use a live Linux distribution to assess the client’s security flaws.…

One thing that definitely went wrong in the lab was that we had to round about two of our measurements and the reason being was that they were exact. To exemplify, when we were reading the volume for the finishing measurement of the base for trial three, we got exactly 45.00 mL. The only problem was that, we had didn’t really have the two significant decimal numbers. Hence, we rounded our volume to 45.01 mL. Also, we got exactly 23.00 mL for our finishing volume of the acid for trial three. Therefore, once again we rounded it to 23.02mL in order to get at least two significant decimal numbers.…

OMIS 660 Business Computing Environment and Network Lab - 1 REPORT TCP: Transmission Control Protocol SUMMARY: The idea of TCP congestion control is for each sender to determine the available capacity in the network so that it knows how many packets can be safely transmitted. The congestion window is a state variable for each connection which is used by the sender to limit how much data a sender can transmit into the network before receiving an acknowledgement. This report consist of the simulation of different model of TCP transmission which demonstrates the congestion control using the variation of dynamic window size implemented by TCP (Transmission Control Protocol). Various models are considered where packet drop rates are varied for demonstration of different situations from…

I chose to change the inclination to a 75-degree angle for the third lab assignment. If I were a bird researcher studying a population of birds and the earth began to shift to a 75-degree inclination, the biggest change would be a rise in temperature at the latitude marked with the white “X”. At the original 35-degree inclination, the average temps for early spring are mild and as the months continue into summer; the average daily temperatures do not go above what is described as mild and a half. If a gradual shift began towards a 75-degree inclination, you would begin to see a rise in the temperatures for this region. In the early spring, you might still find mild temperatures but as the spring progresses into summer, the temperatures…

Speed, availability, and reliability are vital for a successful network infrastructure in terms of productivity and user experience. When first configuring this lab, I had to make the decision of whether or not to use one server to run all of the services or if the load should be distributed amongst multiple machines. I decided to go with the later, having a separate server hosting the wiki, another providing monitor services, and yet another acting as the DHCP, DNS and AD controller. While the last three were not required in the scope of this lab, I wanted to set up my initial network in a scalable manner, and this was the best solution for future growth. Distributing the services across multiple machines helps to reduce the processing that each box is required to do in order to fulfill requests.…

The first objective of Lab 4 is to use structure activity relationships to predict the properties of an acid and the potency of hallucinogenic compounds. The overall goal of the laboratory is to examine quantitative structure activity relationships (QSAR) in a system that is either chemical or biochemical. The lab is divided into two parts; predicting the acidity of an organic acid, and predicting the hallucinogenicity of derivatives of mescaline. The materials of this lab for both part 1 and part 2 are small training sets, which are groups of similar chemicals with known biological activity, a computer to graph the data that is recorded in the tables, the internet resource MiLogP to generate LogP data, and computational programs that will…

Goal Following the introduction of Windows-based systems into our virtual environment in Lab 3, this final individual lab takes the base Microsoft administrative technologies put in place such as Active Directory, and pushes them forward with more advanced systems administration features. The major new additions to the infrastructure are Group Policy and fine-grained password policies where users, computers, and groups are given a more personalized as well as secure computing experience based on the role and importance those objects play in the overall infrastructure. I found the information as well as skills learned in this lab invaluable due to how important Group Policy is to Active Directory and how end systems as well as users are…

My experience of stress can be best described as a rollercoaster, steadily climbing and once at the top it can plunge down and back up and to the left and to the right, almost as if the stress is controlling the ride. Stress has changed over the years as well. My early childhood life didn’t include the worry of life, but the concern of self. I grew up as a very shy individual and was constantly scared to talk or speak in many situations. I am not sure how or why I was a shy individual, but it was a big stressor during my early development.…
