Conflict Essay The two conflicts that I have chosen to ‘compare and contrast’ the nature and causes are the Russia and Ukraine conflict as well as the Israel and Palestine conflict. Both involve conflict over land and have big historical backgrounds. Both also include military and war. Whilst the reasons for the cause are different. Russia believes that Ukraine should be a part of Russia and has some people’s support within Ukraine. The government does not agree and through further issues and disputes tensions are high and have caused conflict. With Israel Palestine, it is heavily involved with religion as well as other countries getting involved by dividing Judaism and Islam by borders.

(option 1)Start 1:The causes of both of these conflicts are both different and similar. Crimea, a part of Ukraine, which consists of a lot of Russians in favour of joining Russia. This has caused lots of conflict on what the region of Crimea should be a part of. In the Israel Palestine Conflict the land that is in dispute is the Gaza Strip. Historically Palestine was a large state until after the war the U.N tried to help the Jews by giving them land. This land is Israel and by doing this it included some of Palestine. This has caused conflict between the two states with constant missile and terrorist attacks.

In Crimea troops wearing Russian uniforms have been spotted. Russia is not suppose to have troops in Crimea and have denied any involvement to doing so even though there is some strong evidence to suggest that they do. There is similar activity in Israel and Palestine. Israel has received multiple missile attacks coming from the Gaza Strip which Palestine claim no involvement with. These missile attacks have killed over 50 people and injured over 1900. This means that both conflicts have incidents that supposedly don’t come from the two involved
