Under the Conducting Research, I knew that anybody can use interviews or surveys to get some information, but I never knew those were considered “Primary Research”. I was not aware of the “analysis and observations” under the Primary Research. I also got interested when I read about the “Research Ethics” in which states that not to get information from kids and also to ask permission to use the material if somebody is using information from the University. As stated per Owl Purdue, not to use bias questions, such as “Don’t you agree that campus parking is a problem?” It is better to have a clear and concise question. Even though I was aware that we need to use Title, Body (three paragraphs) and conclusion. The handouts on the OWL website helps me understand clearly how I suppose to use the guidelines in order to have on the top of my pages the “running head”. Also mentions that on the Title page the information that needs to be included are: “Authors name and Institutional affiliation”. It is very important to have an “abstract page” because it talks about the “main points” that my essay will be about. The length should be from “150- 250 words on a single paragraph”.
