Unit 1 Mcdm

Improved Essays
My wife and I just bought our first home, a small goat farm with a residence located just outside of a college in North Central Florida. For my MCDM assignment, I am going construct a MCDM model drawing from the pros and cons list my wife and I compiled while trying to decide which home to buy. We had narrowed down our search to three homes and then wrote out a list of criteria that was important to us to make the best decision possible. I wanted to list the chart first, as a reference, and then list of the criteria separately and explain each one individually and why it was chosen. I will then detail each house and what the pros and cons are for each.

Price was our biggest concern and was the criteria that we weighted the most towards our decision. The main reason for the substantially lower price was because of the location and small acreage. The house was located eighteen miles from the downtown, was not secluded, and had only 4 acres. These metrics were close to the upper and lower boundaries we had set for each one respectively. The home’s style was close to what we wanted, but not as nice as homes 2 and 3. The house was small about 1,000 sf, but was only six years old which would certainly save us on maintenance costs. The home was close to shopping at about three miles and was fifteen miles from my wife work.

House 2 House 2 was $50,000 more expensive than House 1 mainly because it was located closer to the downtown, was more secluded, and it had two more acreage than House 1. The style was preferable to House 1, it had more square feet at 1,500, but was also older than House 1. Because of its geographic location in relation to the town, it was the house farthest away from my wife’s work at twenty miles and was farther away from shopping at five miles which were both much more than we would have liked. The commute to work and to shopping would really affect our decision on whether to choose this house.

Unit 10 Patients suffering from some sort of respiratory distress after a postoperative time are entitled to receive Hyperinflation Therapy, or commonly known as Lung Expansion Therapy. Targeting the thoracic region, this therapy involves giving greater volume of oxygen to a patient to prevent atelectasis, which is, collapsed alveoli. Surfactant deals with a big part of hyperinflation therapy because surfactant is what reduces the tension of alveoli and keeps them inflated. If a patient is unable to fill their alveoli with air on their own, surfactant will not be released and cause the alveoli to collapse. In Cystic Fibrosis patients , the mucus creates a blockage in the airways which causes the patient to go into Atelectasis.…

MD5 is a calculation that is utilized to confirm information trustworthiness through the formation of a 128-piece message process from information input (which might be a message of any length) that is asserted to be as one of a kind to that particular information as a unique mark is to the particular person. Proposed where a vast record must be "compacted" in a safe way before being scrambled with a private key under an open key cryptosystem such as PGP. There are a lot of applications and we will take about two of them, first one is digital signature a numerical plan for exhibiting the credibility of an advanced message or records. A substantial computerized signature gives a beneficiary motivation to trust that the message was made by a known sender (validation), that the sender can't deny having sent the message (non-revocation), and that the message was not modified in travel. Second one is…

Task 10 (D1) Discuss how potential errors in the design and construction of a database can be avoided. One of the potential errors that can occur when creating a database is that field names and names can be spelt incorrectly due to human error this can be difficult to spot if the database is big the way of making sure that there are no naming errors is to make sure that every is checked regularly and more than twice to make sure that the chances of finding a spelling mistake is reduced. Using the wrong data type is another potential error that can occur when creating a database this can be troublesome as if there is a relationship created between the tables and the mistake is found and changed then the database wouldn’t allow you to change the field where the data type is incorrect without removing the relationship first so it will be made into a long process of removing the relationship between the tables changing the data types for each of the table before remaking the relationship between the tables again the way of preventing this is by looking at the field names for the database and then choosing the correct data type also perhaps getting the opinion of another person and rechecking that they are all correct before creating the relationship.…

According to City-Data of Ridgeland, as of 2014 the median price for a home was $160,00. The houses in large neighborhoods that were gaited were well kept up with maintained yards and no sign of neglect. However, when surveying houses that were not in gaited neighborhoods and closer to less developed shopping areas such as North Park mall on County Line, the houses were very run down, with overgrown yards, and clearly in need of repair. The housing in Ridgeland is well maintained in some areas but many neighborhoods are in need improvement. While performing my windshield survey I did not see any houses that were unoccupied or torn down.…

Although medical and nursing staff employ the use of standard and additional precautions the single most important thing that staff can do whilst working is perform effective hand washing to reduce the risks of cross contamination. Everyone has some form of resident flora on their body, this helps the host to stay healthy but when this resident flora is transferred by contact to another person this may cause the person to become ill. In addition to this resident flora a person picks up infectious particles through contact with other people or environmental surroundings (Koutoukidis et al, 2013, p 361). The most effective way an enrolled nurse or other health care workers can decrease the risk of transmission of these infectious organisms is…

They strongly objected any destruction to the building, certainly. All men are equal, but their circumstances are not. America bears an ugly history of racial segregation in cities, mostly due to the practice of redlining. In a perfect world, arbitrary factors such as race would not affect someone’s ability to buy a home. Unfortunately, we do not live in a perfect world.…
