Unique Clothing In A Streetcar Named Desire

Equally important was the unique clothing used by the characters specially Blanche, Stella, and Eunice. Rumors has it that some of the dresses used where handmade which is really impressive, considering that making clothes is difficult and time-consuming. Some characteristics that make a play great is the use of music, sound effects, and lighting. Surprisingly enough, the director was able to coordinate the sound and lighting team to provide an emotional take on the play to connect with the audience effectively which in my opinion, that goal was well accomplished. The use of lighting used made the atmosphere more realistic, for instance, when Blanche and Mitch went on a date, the lighting used was blue and dull to imply that it

The comical personalities all the characters had helped the audience become more intrigued in the story of this play. From this play, I liked that there was only one actor for each character. It made it easier to understand which character was which. The actors had different costumes, which made it easier to apprehend who was…

All I can say is, the story had somewhat of a quicker pace and sometimes harder to follow and small details could easily be missed, and the lighting was a tiny bit distracting when it flashed across the stage quickly. The use of sound effects was used to signify different things that caught the attention of the viewers and really added a special touch to the play. The play showcased beautiful and stunning singing which made the play more authentic, combined with the elaborate dances numbers truly made the show breathtaking and…

On the evening of Saturday October 8th, the cast of the play Fuddy Meers took the stage and put on a unique and exquisite performance. The play took place in the Temple Theatre which I found was a highly interesting venue. There were several different elements that I found greatly intriguing during the course of the ninety minute performance, however, there were a few elements that I felt were also lacking. The first element that I believed helped to add significance to the performance was the stage setup(1). The revolving setup of the stage was perfect for this play and it allowed much versatility for the characters during specific instances.…

Furthermore, the stage setup was utilized well. With the stage in the middle, they had three sides of audience seats that surrounded the stage. I thought this set up made the play more interactive and able to focus on the main character more closely. The lighting for this play was used effectively as well.…

the setting starts off in Kansas, a dry, gray looking and feeling place. That’s with the play helping you to understand the scenery in real life instead of you having to imagine something in your head. In the story you could have thought that they were just talking about their clothes being gray, but in the play it brought the images to life and you could actually see how the color changes from a sulky looking gray into a bunch of wondrous colors to help brighten the mood and give the characters hope. The story might be more descriptive and better at explaining things, but it’s just something about a play that helps the readers understand it in a whole different…

“Still Life With Iris” I saw the play “Still Life With Iris” in Turpin High School’s auditorium. I was in crew but watched the full run through of the show, and witnessed most of the show closing night, Saturday, February 4th. The show was originally written by Steven Dietz, and Turpin’s play was directed by Lauren Keen. They play was about a girl named Iris who lived on an island called Nocturno where they made everything. She had her past coat stolen and was taken to the Great Goods island.…

In this scene Tenessee Williams shows the inevitability and fatality of the rape as Blanche cannot escape it. Indeed, this scene reminds the audience of the first encounter between Blanche and Stanley, Blanche’s trunk is in “the center of the bedroom”, Stanley “remov[es] his shirt” and Blanche’s has been drinking alcohol and Stanley joins in. This similarity between the two scenes makes it appear as though this was always meant to be since the beginning, everything was leading up to this final moment. Furthermore, in the beginning of the scene, Blanche breaks a mirror “slams the mirror face down with such violence that the glass cracks”. It is common to hear that breaking a mirror will bring seven years of bad luck to the person responsible,…

The film “Much Ado About Nothing” was written for the screen and directed by Joss Whedon in 2012. William Shakespeare was the one who wrote the play “Much Ado About Nothing” . The film version was a more modern take of the play written by Shakespeare. I do believe that the film did very well in portraying how the characters actions and expression would of been in the written play. The film verizon gave a better understanding of how the characters characteristics would’ve been like.…

In my opinion, the play exceeded my expectations. I did not expect the actors to perform in a way that made me believe his or her conflict. The setting was well thought out and complimented the dialogue in a way that made me pay more attention to the conflict. The painting also added to the setting by focusing on the art aspect of the play. I also enjoyed the humor of the play.…

Blanche’s relationship with bright light reveals the most about the complexity that subsists beneath her vanity. Blanche associates bright light with both love and awakening: she describes falling in love as “suddenly turn[ing] a blinding light on something that had always been half in shadow” (Williams 67). However, it also reveals the harshness of reality and she dims the lighting (with the paper lantern) to maintain an illusion of “magic” and present “what ought to be truth” (Williams 84). Blanche associates bright light with a time when her life truly was magical; Blanche was young, beautiful and in love before her life was stripped away and her persona suddenly displaced.…
