Union jack isn’t technically the name unless the flag is being flown over sea but its traditionally called union Jack but it also represents it by being flown over sea. Like at to the United States the flag can’t be worn or be put on any piece of clothing due to the flag code but in the United Kingdom is legal to wear the flag on any pice of clothing and there is also no no specific way of folding the flag unlike the United States. As to the flag being so popular in the United Kingdom, about 23 countries actually aslo have the Union Jack on their buildings but as to now they say that New Zealand could be getting rid of their flag which they might change it to a silver Fern that is associated with New Zealand but it might be hung till this day to the veterans that fought under the Union Jack. Flag days are directed by the DCMS which also includes birthdays of members of the Royal Family, as to wedding anniversaries of the monarch’s in the United Kingdom. Days such as Commonwealth Day, Accession Day, Coronation Day, The queen’s official Birthday, Remembrance Sunday, and also not he days of the state opening and to prorogation of the Parliament.
