Sally is a fourth grade student at Cypress Lakes Elementary. Her family struggles to purchase school supplies for each upcoming year. Usually Sally has to wear her older sister’s worn-out clothing and reuse her back pack. This year, Sally’s school is requiring her to purchase uniforms before the school year begins. While many believe uniforms would be great change for public schools, others believe uniforms would only burden families financially. Uniforms provide students a sense of equality. A great advantage for all students is the ability to attend schools without being labeled based on their clothing.
