Topic 1: In my opinion, the individuals showed in the slides were professionals. However, I noticed some differences in their facial expression and uniformity. I feel a slight negativity in the first slide because some of them look serious. For the second slide, the individuals are positive. However, the uniformity is missing. I am guessing that the guy who is wearing red skinny jeans is their clerk. It would be nice if he wears a black or brown to look more presentable. The third slide, I could see the positivity of the individuals. The majority of them are young, they seem cool, calm, and energetic. They also look friendlier and not intimidating. With that said, a faded old scrubs is unprofessional. Additionally, staff that comes to work with wrinkled and stained scrubs is also unprofessional. There are some physicians who are unfriendly and disrespectful to nurses, and treat nurses like we do not exist. To me, patient care is about the exchange of information relating to patient’s medical and physical conditions. Without proper communication, the medical team cannot provide excellent care. Also, nurses who do not smile could bring negativity in the work environment and it does promote holistic care. In conclusion, the three slides showed professionalism.
