The grey line between right and wrong is hard for anyone to define and so was the case in Clint Eastwood’s movie Unforgiven which released in 1992. The movie takes place in the old west at a town called Big Whisky. The film stars Clint Eastwood as William Munny a retired gunslinger who decides to come to the aid of a prostitute called Delilah, portrayed by Anna Levine, which was disfigured by the local town gang. William has been living on a farm, raising his two children, a boy and a girl. His wife died in the year 1878 and he’s not as young as he used to be.
Munny’s life was not totally virtuous, he was a thief and a gunfighter; he had killed a lot of people in his day with his friend Ned Logan portrayed by Morgan Freeman. One day a boy rides up to Munny talking about how a woman got cut up by a couple of cowboys and he looks to go and kill them but he needs help. Munny turns him down considering his children and the boy leaves. Munny’s conscience eats at him and he changes his mind and goes to find Ned.
Ned and Munny set off with the Schofield Kid to find the gang, in their search they discover that the boy is nearsighted. Upon killing the first cowboy, Ned realizes he’s not the killer, he used to be and he heads home. Ned set off to go home because of the fact he hasn’t killed anyone in so long as well as the fact
