William has been living on a farm, raising his two children, a boy and a girl. His wife died in the year 1878 and he’s not as young as he used to be. Munny’s life was not totally virtuous, he was a thief and a gunfighter; he had killed a lot of people in his day with his friend Ned Logan portrayed by Morgan Freeman. One day a boy rides up to Munny talking about how a women got cut up by couple of cowboys and he looking to go and kill them but he needs help. Munny turns him down considering his children and the boy leaves. Munny’s conscience eats at him and he changes his mind and goes to find Ned. Ned and Munny set off with the boy to find the gang, in their search they discover that the boy is nearsighted. Upon killing the first cowboy, Ned realize he’s not the killer he used to be and he heads home. That his actions morally right or wrong from the filmmaker’s point of view. I think they want us to think that what he does is morally right because that his best friend is killed for what he did. That he wants to make it right by going in and killing them. They want us to view that Ned was wrongfully killed even tho he has killed many people in his past. The action of killing these men came from the fact out of rage they killed his best friend and they play on that emotion of the audience to fell for him and maybe even do the same
