The issue of equal pay between men and women has been a growing issue over the past years. Women may have the same positon as men in many workplaces but still get paid differently. Because of this issue, it has caused many protests that lead to women being fired or quitting. This in conclusion hurts companies by the loss of jobs. The pay difference often is based on discrimination in the workplace. Specifically many companies in the medical field have shown discrimination and unequal pay in the workplace. Different studies have glorified this issue and it plays a big role in the business world today. This leads to the question, should men and women be paid equally in the medical field. If these characteristics are changed then there won’t be emotion involved in deciding salaries between genders. Another key aspect to ending unequal pay is to focus more on experience and skill when deciding salary for women. These two aspects will be a valuable test to show how much women should be paid in their workplace.
