Personal Narrative: My Ethical Stance Model

Understanding my own ethical stance clearly is going to be crucial in my professional as well as personal development. In the past I have had a tendency to question the ethics of others, but for the most part have been confident in my own stance on ethics and have not cut ties with people based on minor differences of beliefs. Personally, I believe in two- way communication and understanding that behaviors/emotions are situational, beneficence, and that personally as well as professionally I choose to do no harm to others, guidance and helping others follow their own existential meaning without imposing my own, and cultural perspective as being sensitive to upbringing and religious ideologies. I tend to agree with this outlook because in my experience I have learned from mistakes and been able to identify my own perspective from those mistakes. In the past I have thought that it was my mission to convert as many people as I could to believing in the God I believe in. I remained on this mission until I learned about the atrocities against various populations in the name of religion. Because of an abrupt transition to Western culture many people lost their identity and our identity is what defines us. The idea was to maintain order and to set people under a universal set of standards and the outcome was pain and confusion. Slowly I have slowly become an individual who believes in following my own way and not forcing it upon others while consistently being open and accepting to other
