The love of money is said to be the root of all evil. People will do unimaginable things for money. They will ruin other people’s lives as well as their own just to pocket cash. People get caught up with having so much money that they end up losing everything that is dearest to them. They get money hungry, and they do just about anything to get money. A person should be content with enough money to get by. If the bills are able to be paid and there is food on the table every night, then a person should feel accomplished enough to be content with the amount of money they have. A lot of people struggle, and even stress that they do not have enough money to survive. A lot of people wish for more money on a daily basis just to ensure that they will get by, but it is so much more accomplishing to know that the money a person has was earned. They put forth the effort and hard work to get that money. They sacrificed their time of the day to bring that money home to support themselves or their family. That is something to feel proud and accomplished over. People are willing to risk so much to get more money because they are afraid of the facts of life. Needleman stated, “You’re a worrier. It’s in you, not the money. Life, except for the obvious physical needs, is not so much defined by the external situation as by the inner one.” They do not want to go through the everyday struggle to live.
