Your discussion post regarding the APA format is informative and well written. In writing my initial response regarding APA formatting I didn't consider the history of scholarly writing, how APA formatting created a standardized format for scholarly writing, and how the uniformity achieved from APA formatting benefits the reader. I also liked your point regarding how APA formatting allows a writer to responsibly use information found in other sources. Nice work! I’m thoroughly impressed!
Greg, You’re absolutely correct in linking ineffective use of APA formatting to plagiarism and ultimately overall integrity. However extending that linkage to leadership is very interesting. Your assertion that if a student is willing to cut corners and compromise their integrity when writing a paper more than likely they’re also willing to compromise their integrity in some way as a leader is thought provoking.
