In this situation it would be wise to use an intervention that focus on growth development and it stages. There are several stages starting from infancy all the way up to pre-teen and teenage years. The stages of a child’s life are very important in the process of discipline and teaching a child what’s right from wrong. I believe if the parent can start instill in their children from the very beginning that drinking alcohol it can be very impactful. Along with a child mental develop they begin to learn what’s right and wrong. As they grow up they adapt the ability to make decision and decipher wrong and right. As parents they must use positive re-enforcement and negative re-enforcement to get the desired behavior. If the child is caught drinking, then the person must take away something bad to re-enforce good behavior. Also the parents should explain to their child what they are doing wrong. I strong suggest the parents, should have sit-down conversations with their children to explore their minds as well as educate them about drinking alcohol abuse. Moreover, the parents must explain to their children the risks involved with drinking and how it can badly affect their bodies. Lastly, reward them when they are doing something right and following your rules. Make sure as the parent, you are not allowing you exploiting these bad behaviors, because it will make them feel as though it is okay to carry these
