Under the Rug Two weeks passed and it happened again. It was a rainy windy day, so there was nothing to do outside. So instead of going out, I stayed home to watch some football. I was fifteen minutes into my game when I started hearing noises under the rug and the chair. What the heck was that, I thought to myself as I gazed around the room. I was sitting on a large leather reclining chair and all of a sudden, the rug started moving beneath me. I was confused and a bit out of sorts. For a few minutes, I sat still as a statue, waiting for the sound to come back, But after five minutes, I thought, I must have been hearing things.

Then twenty minutes later it started happening again. Now I was really confused; I leaped up to see a huge moving lump in the rug. I exploded

The 6’ foot 5” 250 pounds man arrived later that day and pulled up the rug and spewed, with a deep voice, “There is nothing there sir; there are no holes- no scratches...nothing.” I was even more confused now. I didn’t know what to say, so I mumbled very nervously and confused, “Can you at least set up a few traps? ” I was a river dripping with sweat. He set the traps up and marched out the door shaking the floor with his big steps. I had to take matters into my own hands.So I ran under the porch very nervously with a Knife,shovel, and a flash light.It was a very tight space and I am a old man with back problems in the first place.I was nervous because I don’t know what was down there.It could be a racoon with rabbies or a huge rat.It was pitch black and if I didn’t have that flash light I wouldn’t be able to see anything.It also smelled very funky kinda like rotten cheese.I got to were the living rooms was and started digging for and looking for any wholes that could be housing what ever this thing was.The hairs on my bodie were as stiff as a flag pole and goose bumps the size of a mountians on my
