Under Democratic Leaders: Collective Decision-Making Process

Democratic leaders are characterized by collective decision-making by the leader with the follower involvement, they facilitate collective decision-making. Under democratic or participative leadership, the leader includes others in the decision making process, but still maintain the final decision making authority. Examples of democratic leaders are including President Barack Obama and President Bill Clinton.
Among the advantages under democratic leadership are positive work environment is can be created since communication gap is reduced between the leader and followers, where the followers are free to issue any suggestion without fear of punishment. Under democratic leadership also there will be a sense of joint responsibility for any outcome
