Under Armour is an American company who manufactures sport apparel, shoes and activewear. The company adheres to various of management approaches. One of the approaches is Henry Fayol’s administrative management which concerns the management of the whole organization. The company also obeys the Max Weber’s bureaucratic management which concerns the ideal structure of an organization, behavioural management which concerns on individual personalities and behaviours as well as Frederick Winslow Taylor’s scientific management which concerns the worker productivity. Nevertheless, this company adopts both contemporary views of management, which are system view and contingency view.

The Under Armour Code of Conduct (2016) states that the company’s mission is “using design and passion to make every sportsperson better and pursuit innovation persistently” while the vision is “to empower athletes everywhere”.
